Power Grid Corporation of India has invited bids for Tower package – A1 assocaited with Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme

•              400kV D/C Sasaram-Daltanganj Transmission Line of length 170 Kms.

•              LILO of First 400kV D/C Khalgaon-Biharsharif Line at Lakhisarai of length 40 Kms.

•              LILO of Second 400kV D/C Kahalgaon-Biharsharif Line at Banka of length 31 Kms.

•              LILO of One Circuit of 400kV D/C Jamshedpur-Rourkela Line at Chaibasa of length 29 Kms.

The scope of work includes detailed survey including route alignment, profiling, tower spotting, optimisation of tower locations,

soil resistivity measurement & geotechnical investigation; check survey; fabrication and supply of all type of 400kV transmission line towers, including river crossing towers as per design/drawings including fasteners, anti theft fasteners, step bolts, hangers, D-shackles etc.; supply of all types of tower accessories like phase plate, circuit plate, number plate, danger plate, anti climbing device, Bird guard; supply of Hardware Fittings and Conductor & Earth wire Accessories, Earthwire; classification of foundation for different type of tower and casting of foundation for tower footings as per Owner’s foundations drawing; erection of towers, tack welding of bolts and nuts including supply and application of zinc rich primer & two coats of enamel paint, tower earthing, fixing of insulator strings, stringing of conductors and earth wires along with all necessary line accessories; painting of towers & supply and erection of span markers, obstruction lights for aviation requirements; testing and commissioning of the erected transmission lines and Other items required for the successful commissioning of the transmission line, unless specifically excluded in the Specification.
