National Thermal Power Corporation has invited bids for Coal Handling Plant Package for Stage – IV of 2 x 500 MW Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Project at Vidhyanagar in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, shop fabrication, assembly, testing and inspection at manufacturer’s works, packing, inland transportation to the site & inland transit insurance, all risk insurance, delivery to site, receipt, unloading, handling, insurance during storage and in-plant transportation at site, complete services of construction, including erection supervision, pre-commissioning, testing, inspection, commissioning and Performance Guarantee testing including all associated electrical, civil, structural and architectural works of all facilities of the Coal Handling Plant Package and handing over of Coal Handling Plant Package for Vindhyachal STPP, Stage-IV (2×500 MW).

Bharat Heavy Electricals has bagged order worth Rs. 50400 million from Jindal Power Limited for setting up the 2,400 MW extension stage of OP Jindal Super Thermal Power Plant (4×600 MW) in Chhattisgarh. The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of Boilers, Steam Turbines, Turbo-Generators and associated auxiliaries along with state-of-the-art Controls and Instrumentation system including Generator and Station transformers.
