Tata Power bags orders for Thermal Plant
Tata Power has bagged following two orders from OPG Power Generation
Providing Operations and Maintenance Services at 1 x 80 MW Coal based power plant at Gummidipoondi near Chennai. The contract is for an initial period of two years and can be extended with mutual consent. The plant is expected to be commissioned by September-October, 2009.
Providing Project Management Services for upcoming 2 x 150 MW coal based thermal power plant at Bhadreswar in Kutch district of Gujarat. The project is expected to be commissioned by September 2011.

BHEL bags order worth Rs. 1700 million from CPCL
Bharat Heavy Electricals has bagged an order worth Rs. 1700 million from Chennai Petroleum Corporation for setting up a 20 MW (Frame-5) Gas Turbine-based energy efficient and environment friendly co-generation power plant at Manali Refinery in Chennai district of Tamil Nadu. The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of a Frame-5 Gas Turbine Generator and Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) of 85 Tons per hour (TPH) capacity, with associated auxiliaries and balance of plant.

AREVA T & D bags order from Hindalco
AREVA T & D India has bagged an order form Hindalco for 2 x 220 KV conversion sub-stations. The scope of work includes design, supply, installation and commissioning of 5 x 100 KA, 1650 V DC rectifier stations, at each location of Bargwan in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh and Lapanga in Sambalpur district of Orissa. The order is expected to be completed by 2011.
