Simplex Projects has bagged the contract for constructing two stadiums for Commonwealth Games for Rs. 750 million. The project includes Talkatora indoor stadium worth Rs. 500 million and Talkatora phase II worth Rs. 250 million. The company will be carrying out major renovation and improvement work of Talkatora Indoor stadium. The project also includes construction of a new block having an area of approximately 25,000 sqm, which will house facilities for players, media and commonwealth games officials along with communication and medical facilities. Along with this the project work will also include renovation of the existing stadium and construction of the new block and a double basement parking facility for 300 cars.
