Bharat Heavy Electricals has bagged an order worth Rs. 3380 million from country’s largest steel producer Steel Authority of India for manufacturing turbo-blower packages for its Rourkela plant. Turbo-blower packages are compressors used in the blast furnace of a steel plant. The scope of work includes supply of three compressors with steam turbines along with associated auxiliaries and controls, besides erection and civil works. The equipment will be supplied by the company’s manufacturing plants at Hyderabad and Bangalore.

National Thermal Power Corporation has invited bids for CW system & make up water system equipment package for 4 x 250 MW Nabinagar Thermal Power Project at Nabinagar in Aurangabad district of Bihar. The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, inspection and testing at supplier’s works, packing, dispatch, port charges, custom clearance/port clearance (wherever applicable), and reconciliation with custom authorities, inland transportation to site, transit insurance, delivery to site, receipt, unloading, handling, storage at site, comprehensive insurance for storage-cum-erection and in-plant transportation at site, erection, supervision, pre-commissioning including performance guarantee tests, testing and commissioning and performance testing of equipment/system and furnishing of spares as per specification.
